Dear Friend, (yes, this is how I start my daily journals)
I reviewed a journal entry from December, and it was important.
The entry discussed learning to find happiness in the internal (the stuff you control).
But that hasn’t been happening, right?
You’re worrying about the stuff you don’t control.
You’re falling back into old habits and thought patterns that make you miserable.
You’re slipping back into old, comfortable ways of doing things that don’t serve you or make you happy.
I know you’re slipping because you’re worrying too much about what others need, want, or think.
And instead of working on yourself, you’re putting all your energy into things/people you don’t control.
Now… you’re feeling stuck.
But what if you got back to focusing on yourself?
And what if you got back to the hard work of becoming the best version of yourself?
If you do that, then…
- You will attract good things and good people.
- You will feel good in your skin and be authentic and congruent with yourself.
- You will do the things you need to do… face the challenges you need to face… and be ready for what comes.
- You will be amazing.
And remember…
You are worth it.
You fucking matter.
You make a difference.
And you deserve good things.
You know who you are… just let it out. And DON’T shove it back inside.
And YES!!! You WILL make mistakes.
But mistakes don’t make you bad—they make you human.
So stop trying to fix the things that you don’t control.
Take care of yourself!
Be the best YOU that you can be.
Then, everything else will fall into place.
I love you–but you are stubborn as fuck!
Jody
P.S. I know you aren’t stubborn, just afraid. But you’ve got this! ❤️
